I2D’s task was to integrate a range of state-of-the-art technologies into a small and seamless enclosure that can be sterilized. A key challenge was to design it so that the larger unit still feels as a sophisticated tool that is on a par with the traditional dental mirror.

The Smart Mirror™ is an all-in-one dental mirror, with an integrated powerful LED, a Hi-Res camera with real-time video, a charging battery, and communication. The Smart mirror is positioned on a dedicated magnetic base for charging so that it can be easily grabbed and stay sterile. Once removed from the base the smart mirror is automatically activated.
The device has a stainless-steel handle that can be sterilized and a smart removable unit with all the electronic components. The design is clean simple and seamless and communicates sophistication and timelessness.
