The Challenge

Lumus glasses are crafted to be worn. The core design challenge was to avoid the common eccentric solutions and achieve a “natural look” that people will actually wear. In addition I2D had to resolve complex ergonomic and engineering issues such as weight reduction, universal fit and structural stiffness.

The design of the frame is precise, classic and restrained to achieve a look that is unisex and fits various face types. The colored temples are a small distinct deviation and the integrated camera and image projector are the prominent visual details to reflect the novel technology.
